Zealous Martin
Funeral services for Mr. Zealous Ray Martin, of Wrightsville, will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 1 PM at the Ranger Grove Church of God in Christ, Ranger Grove Church Road in Wrightsville. Superintendent Ira Edwards, Sr., will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Martin was born on December 21, 1962, to the late Mother Dorothy Darrisaw Martin, aka "Sweet", and Pastor Zealous Martin. He was a graduate of Johnson County High School, and was employed with Mohawk Industries, and Bassett Furniture Company. He passed away on April 22, 2018.
He leaves to cherish his memories his father, Pastor Zealous (Willie Bell) Martin of Sandersville, stepsons, Brandon Spikes of Brunswick, Ellis Spikes, Jr., of Hinesville, stepdaughter, Brandi Trozier of Atlanta, his siblings, Andrew (Sarah) Martin of Wrightsville, Ronnie Martin of Dublin, Sandy Martin of Wrightsville, Leaser (Donnie) Taylor of Dublin, Helaine Martin of Milledgeville, stepbrothers Rosco Walls, and Vernard (Carmen) Swint of Sandersville, aunts, Rose Marie (Oliver) Taylor, and Rosa Mae Martin of Wrightsville, Larsie Darrisaw of Brooklyn, New York, one great aunt, Ella M. Smith of Oak Hill, Florida, uncles, Pastor Edmond (Evelynn) Darrisaw of New York, New York, Jimmy (Ethel ) Darrisaw of Newbern, North Carolina, June Gindraw of Sandersville, a best friend, Keith Coleman, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
The family is receiving friends at 39 Flanders Street, Wrightsville.
