Funeral Services for Mr. Willis Walker, Sr., of Wrightsville, will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at 2 PM at the Buckeye Baptist Church, 2176 New Buckeye Road in East Dublin. Interment will follow in the Mitchell Grove Baptist Church Cemetery at 78 Mitchell Grove Church Road in Wrightsville. Reverend Rickey Stanley will officiate.

Mr. Walker, who passed on June 19, was born on March 3, 1937, in Johnson County, Georgia. He attended Mitchell Grove Baptist Church and retired from Engelhard Corporation. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel Walker, Sr., and Nina Wright Walker; one son, Renneth Walker; two grandchildren, Kemethia Walker and Ricky A. Wiley, Jr.; two sisters, Dommie J. Scott and Earlene Mason.

Mr. Walker is survived by his wife of 58 years, Christine T. Walker; four sons, Willis Walker, Jr., Herschel Walker, Lorenza Walker, and Kirk Dent; three daughters, Evangelist Sharon (John B) King, Veronica (Bill) Richard, and Minister Carol Walker, fifteen grandchildren, Emily (Scottie) Tirey, Kiara Walker, Sherielle Walker, Marci (Samuel Jr.) Harris, July (Edward) Lucas, Cedric Walker, Angela King, Pamela, King and Sheterro Robinson; six devoted grandchildren, Mashuni Walker, Derrick Walker, Denise Latosha (Garion) Stokes, Minister Erica Smith, Milan Richard, and Christian Walker; eleven great grandchildren; three sisters, Lynn (Clarence) Edwards, Nina "Goathead" (Ossie) Wells, Sr., and Gerlene Martin; two sisters-in-law, Rosia Mae Martin and Leretha Roberts; three brothers-in-law, Oliver (Marie)Taylor, Willie (Dorothy) Taylor, and Albert (Martha) Taylor and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial donations can be made to the Mitchell Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Evangelist Sharon King, P.O. Box 497, Wrightsville, Georgia 31096.

The family will receive friends at 504 Idylwild Drive in Wrightsville.
