Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Pearl "Goofy" Wright, of Wrightsville, will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at 2 PM at Mount Pleasant AME Church, 358 Bill Oliver Road, Wrightsville. Reverend Amos Darrisaw will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery.

Mrs. Willie Pearl was born on August 14, 1929, in Wrightsville, to the late Clyde "Bear" Wright and Ophelia Coleman. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Willie Clyde Hurst, C. D. Coleman, Derrick Wright, and Mary L. Benjamin. She passed away on September 23, 2017.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a daughter, Mary Ellen Wright of Wrightsville, a son Robert "Luck" (Bernice) Martin, of Wrightsville, James Wright of California, three grandchildren Shona Wright Gipson, Belinda Wright, Kelvin Rozier, all of Wrightsville, four great grandchildren, Sevin Rozier, Ashton Thompson, Shaundre Gipson, Cameron Lewis, and one great-great grandchild, Jacob Taylor, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins who she loved dearly. Mrs. "Goofy" will be missed.

The family is receiving friends at 1356 Goins Road, Wrightsville.
