Funeral services for Mr.Willie Lee “W. L.” O’Neal, of East Dublin, Georgia, will be held at 1 PM, on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, 494 Evergreen Road in Dublin. Reverend Winfred L. McCloud will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. O’Neal was born to the late Mr. Willie and Mrs. Sassie Mae Coley O’Neal, on Monday, October 29, 1934. He was a sergeant in the United States Army and served in the Korean Conflict. He was currently employed with J. A. Long, Inc, and was a member of the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church. He departed this life on Tuesday, April 18, 2017.

Mr. O’Neal was preceded in death by a sister, Louise O’Neal Moore, two brothers, James and July O’Neal, and by a grandson, Adrian Earl Jenkins, III.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mary Payne O’Neal, seven children, Tamra Jenkins, Keith (Vivian) O’Neal, both of Albany (and their mother, Sadie Roberson of Soperton), Francis Wells of East Dublin, Inita O’Neal of Montgomery, Alabama, Wesley (LaKeisha) O’Neal, Chastity (Joe) O’Neal-Willis, and Crystal (Benny) O’Neal-Brantley, all of East Dublin, two sisters, Gussie O’Neal of Dublin, and Mary O’Neal Shaw of Miami, Florida, two brothers, Thomas (Ruby) Holmes of Dublin, and Wallace (Bertha) O’Neal of Blakely, four sisters-in-law, Martha P. Williams of East Dublin, Jenell Ficklin, Louree Bell, both of Dublin, and Darlene Maddox of Atlanta, and three brothers-in-law, Joe (Bessie Mae) Payne, Jr., and Calvin (Barbara Ann) Payne, Sr., both of Dublin, and Patrick (Elaine) Payne of Tennille, eighteen grandchildren, , seven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family is receiving friends at 109 Williams Street in East Dublin.
