Funeral services for Mr. Willie Lee Roberson, of East Dublin, will be held on Wednesday, December 26, at 2:00 PM at the Williams Chapel Baptist Church, 1142 Highway South in East Dublin. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery in Dublin. Reverend James F. Sherman will officiate. Mr. Willie Lee Roberson, who passed on December 19, was born June 25, 1924, to the late Mr. Mitchell and the late Nina Mae Roberson. He was united in holy matrimony to Willie Bell Kellam on September 5, 1942. To this union, eight children were born. He joined Sandy Ford Baptist Church at an early age. He was employed by Cullens Supply for forty seven years as a mechanic. Mr. Roberson was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Mrs. Willie Bell Roberson; three children, Nina Mae, Ervin James, and Delores; two brothers and one sister. Mr. Roberson leaves to cherish many fond memories his children: Roosevelt (Ella), Mickey (Juanita), Janice and Brenda all of East Dublin, and Joletha (Leroy) Dixon of Dublin. He was a Papa to ten grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He also leaves one sister-in-law, Odessa (S.J.) Thomas of Opalocka, Florida and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special friends: Melvin Wilcher, Sheila McClendon, Cynthia and Taylor Stanley. The family will receive friends at the home of his son, Mickey (Juanita) Roberson, 103 Atwood Drive in East Dublin.
