Funeral services for Deacon Willie James Durham of Jeffersonville will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 4195 US Highway 80 West in Montrose. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Church Cemetery. Reverend Cedric Cason will officiate.

Mr. Durham, who passed on February 27, 2014 was born on November 3, 1956, to the late A.J. and Limmie Durham. He was educated in the Laurens County School System. He was employed for many years with Bassett Furniture, Gilman Paper Company, Bibb Yarn Company, and at Polytech. Most recently, he was self employed as a painter. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church where he served many years as a deacon.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas James Durham.

Mr. Durham is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-six years, Irene Durham. He is also by his daughters, Veronica Hoskins of Macon, Corlis Bell of Jeffersonville, and Shawana (Rev. Elzie) Blue, Jr. of Macon; grandchildren, James Bell,Jr., Korius Bell, Kennedie Williams, and Irelin Blue. He will be truly missed by his brothers, Rev. Clarence (Betty) Durham-Thomas of Dublin, Willie C. (Ruthie) Durham of Jeffersonville; sisters, Barbara (Aaron) Charleston of Dublin, Katie (Ira) Smith of Montrose and Annie (Willie) Stephens of Dublin; aunts, Juanita (Woodrow) Allen of Macon, Gloria (Jimmie) Durham of Miami, Florida, Linda (Oswald) Bertrard of Walnut Creek, California, Hazel Thomas and Gladys Thomas of Montrose; uncles, Anthony Durham, Willie Charles (Brenda) Durham, , William Durham, Jr., and Robert Lee (Katina) Durham all of Gordon; sisters-in-law, Lessie Hoskins of Macon and Patricia (David) Julkes of Jeffersonville; brothers-in-law, W.T. (Christine) Clark of Decatur, Ralph Gainey of Macon, Ray (Angela) Clark of Jeffersonville, Larry Collins and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the 491 Gallimore Road in Jeffersonville and at the Dudley Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6-7 PM.
