Funeral services for Mrs. Willie F. Howell, 88, of Dublin will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012, at 1PM at the New Bible Believers Missionary Baptist Church at 204 Hillcrest Drive in Dublin. Reverend Benny L. Brantley will officiate. Interment will follow in the Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Toomsboro. Mrs. Howell, who passed on April 7, 2012, was born on May 3, 1923 in Wilkinson County. She was the last of twelve siblings. She attended Rosenwald High School in Toomsoboro. In 1942 Mrs. Howell moved to Dublin where she met and married Alfred. W. Howell whom she outlived. She was a faithful member of Union Hill Baptist Church, First African Baptist Church and New Bible Believers Missionary Baptist Church where she served in numerous capacities. She received the Five Degree of the Order of the Eastern Star in Fidelity Chapter 45 and was a lifetime member. Mrs. Howell was formerly employed for 25 years at Mohawk (Laurens Park Mill) and retired in 1989. Mrs. Howell is survived by her two sons, Wayne (Karen) Howell, Dublin, and Alfred Greg Howell, Washington, DC. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and other relatives. The family will receive friends at 806 Woodard Street in Dublin.
