Funeral services for Mr. Willie J. Green, of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11 AM at the C. D. Dudley Memorial Chapel at the Dudley Funeral Home. Reverend Walter L. Williams will officiate. Interment will follow on Monday, July 11, 2016 at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2617 Vinson Highway in Milledgeville.

Mr. Green, who passed away on June 30, 2016, was born on February 21, 1932 to the late Ms. Mattie Harrison. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Mrs. Sue Green.

He received the Lord at an early age, always confessing his love, thanks, and praise to him, and became a member of the Green Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Green attended a local high school in Dublin, and served in the United States Army from 1951 until 1953. After serving his country, he started a new career at the Carl Vinson Medical Center in Dublin, and a professional chef with the Friendly Good Food Change until his retirement.

Mr. Green leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted son, Reverend Walter L. Williams (Renee), a daughter, Gail Williams (Willie), three granddaughters, Trina Hall (Roy) of Talllahassee, Florida, Natericka Epps, Ashley (Dontay) Roberts of Jacksonville, Florida, two step-grandsons, Christopher Bonner and Timothy Ray of Dublin, and a host of other relatives and friends.
