Funeral Services for Mr. Willie J. Gilbert, Jr., of Dublin, will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 2 PM at the Woodard Grove Baptist Church, 542 Campground Road in Dublin. Interment will follow in the Robinson Chapel Church Cemetery. Reverend Henry Davis will officiate.

Mr. Willie James Gilbert, who passed on August 1, 2014, was born on February 5, 1958, in Dublin to the late Willie James Gilbert, Sr., and Willene Gilbert. He was a faithful member of the Woodard Grove Baptist Church.

Mr. Gilbert is survived by two children, Marie (Timothy) Woodard and Willie (Frandreka) Gilbert; three grandsons, Jaquan Woodard, Ja'Mari Woodard, and Jalen Gilbert; two stepchildren, Tavarus Norris and Frantasia Norris; close companion, Berdine Johnson; one brother, David (Cynthia) Blocker; devoted uncle, Jimmy Gilbert; special cousin, Sharon King; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Timothy Woodard, 602 Rutland Drive in Dublin.
