Funeral services for Mr. Willie Fred Butler will be held on Saturday, March 29 at 1:00 PM at the Neeler Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 195 South Valley Street in Wrightsville. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery in Wrightsville. Reverend David Hall will officiate.

Mr. Butler, who passed on March 23, was born on January 13, 1962, to the late Willie T. and Lizzie Mae Mason Butler in Johnson County. He joined Mou Pleasant Baptist Church at an early age. He attended Johnson County High School. Mr. Butler was employed at the McAfee Packing Company in Wrightsville.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Helen Cook of Wrightsville; stepchildren, Marvin Graddy, Kenta, Tracey, Erica and Erisha Cook all of Wrightsville; six grandchildren; brothers, Ernest (Christine) Butler, Willie Butler, Leon Butler; sisters, Julia Mae (Benny) Davis, Mattie (L.S.) Brown, Lillie Butler, Earnestine (A.C.) Oliver, Alvenia Gilbert, Annie Brown, Vera (Leon) Davis, Ella Butler, Janice (Tommy) Dixon and Alzonia Butler all of Wrightsville; aunts, Claydine Lattimore of Sandersville, Lois Pearl Oliver of Wrightsville, and a host loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 46 Hillside Street in Wrightsville.
