William Allen

Funeral Services for Mr. William Walter “Toby” Allen, 75, of Dublin, will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at 11 AM at the New Vision Missionary Baptist Church, 951 Field Street in Dudley, Georgia. Reverend Horace Austin will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery in Dublin.

Mr. Allen was born on February 17, 1944, to the late Mr. Herschel and Mrs. Willina Allen. He joined the Nu-Hope Baptist Church at an early age but attended New Vision Missionary Baptist Church until his health declined. During his life, Mr. Allen worked at Mohawk Industries, Farmers and Merchants Bank, and Allen-Bradley, until his retirement. Mr. Allen passed away on October 25, 2019. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Allen, Joe Allen, John Allen, and Wimpy Allen, Sr., and by his sisters, Elever Allen Newton, and Shirley Allen Martin.

Mr. Allen leaves to cherish his precious memories his three daughters, Renee’(Eddie) Miller, Soperton, Alesia Edmond, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Tamika (Paul) Brown, Dublin, one son, Minister Bruce (Terry) Brown, Boston, Massachusetts, his grandchildren, Cory (Abbie) Phillips, Chesapeake, Virginia, Alexia (Kenneth) Baker, Louisville, Kentucky, Kendrick Oliver, Virginia Beach, Virginia, Daylon Oliver, Soperton, Tony Edmond II, Knoxville, Tennessee, Adrianne (Josh) Teats, Columbus, William Charles Edmond, Cooksville, Tennessee, DeMarcus Allen (Jessica Williams), Columbus, Paula (Brijuanna) Turner, Virginia Beach, Virginia, Jaden Brown, Dublin, Latoya Brown and Cortnei Brown, Boston, Massachusetts, Quinton Elmore, Dallas, Texas, thirteen great-grandchildren, two brothers, Benny Allen, Gainesville, Bishop Rogers Allen, Dublin, the mother of his daughters and lifelong friend, Mrs. Lucindy D. Allen, Dublin, and, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
