Funeral services for Ms. Wanda Lynette McCray of Miami, Florida, will be held on Friday, March 29, 2019, at 11:30 AM at the Christian Hope Baptist Church, 1792 Georgia Highway 26 East, Chester. Reverend Gregory Cutts will deliver the eulogy.

Wanda Lynette McCray was born on April 22, 1964, in Miami, Florida, to the late Wilbert and Minnie Rose Lee. She received her education in the Dade County Public Schools where she attended Pine Villa Elementary and Mays High School.

Ms. McCray was a delightful woman who was full of life. She was very easy to get along with and enjoyed dressing up in the latest styles. Wanda was a colorful soul who enjoyed cookouts with her family, listening to music, gardening, fishing, and going to the beach. She always looked forward to sharing memories with her siblings about how things were when they were young and vibrant. Ms. McCray was extremely proud of her son who is a first sergeant in the United States Army. She would often show pictures of him and his family to ensure everyone knew that her son was the most important thing to her. Ms. McCray passed away on March 21, 2019.

She leaves behind her son, Antoine (Sabrina) Smith of Richmond Hill, Georgia, sisters, Donna McCray of Saint Petersburg, Florida, Renita Martin of Miami, Florida, Caroline Coney of Jacksonville, Florida, brothers, Wilbert Adams of Miami, Florida,Grady James of Saint Petersburg, Florida, Terrance James of Jacksonville, Florida, and Jeffrey James of Florida, an aunt, Betty Haywood, an uncle, Luther McCray, grandchildren, Avion, and A'ishah, Smith, a partner, William Jones, special friends, Ruby Knight, Lasonya (Robert) Haywood, and the Thomas and Ashley families.

The family is receiving friends at 1422 Watkins Hall Road in Montrose, and on Thursday, March 28, 2019, 6-7 PM, at the Dudley Funeral Home.
