Funeral services for Mr. Walter Waters, Jr., of Sandersville, will be held at 1 PM on Friday, March 18, 2016, at the the Jordan Grove Christian Fellowship Center, 1330 Highway 319 North in East Dublin. Reverend Larry Foreman will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Waters, who passed on March 12, 2016 was born on August 13, 1938, to the late Walter Waters, Sr. and Zannie Chandler Waters in Tennille.

Mr. Waters was a member of Union Hill (Ohopee) Baptist Church in Tennille. He was retired from Burgess Pigment Company after thirty one years of service.

Mr. Waters was preceded in death by his wife, Verzilla; four brothers, Andrew Waters, Jimmie Waters, Enoch Waters, Matthew Waters; one sister, Mary Waters; nephew, Dwayne Waters and Darryel Waters.

He is survived by a brother; Lawson (Pauline) Waters, East Dublin; three sisters, Iola W. O'Neal, East Dublin, Leola Ellington, Dublin and Majorie Smith, Macon; three sisters-in-law, Betty Johnson, Sandersville, Clemmie Waters, Hollywood, Florida and Winford Waters, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; devoted nieces, Jackie O'Neal - Daniels, Vickie (Elder Derrick) Jackson both of East Dublin, Veronica (Necola) Elvine and Brenda Waters both of Atlanta, Louis and Margie Waters, both of Lithonia; devoted cousins, Doris Morris, Warthen, Robert Waters, Dublin and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of his niece, Vickie (Elder Derrick) Jackson, at 134 Sunset Drive in East Dublin.

Final viewing will be from 12 PM until the funeral hour.
