Funeral services for Mrs. Viola "Sister" Davis Solomon, of East Dublin, will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017, at 11:00 AM at the Mitchell Grove Baptist Church, 78 Mitchell Grove Church Road in Wrightsville. Pastor Ricky Stanley will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Solomon, who passed on June 15, 2017, was born August 19, 1948 to the late Julius Davis, Sr. and the late Lela Mae Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Solomon; a sister, Martha Jean Axson; brothers, James Lee Davis, Chester Davis, Julius Davis, Jr. and Rudy Coley; grandson, Nicholas James Hines.

Mrs. Solomon attended BD Perry Public School. She retired from Biljo's Pants Factory. She joined Mitchell Grove Baptist at an early age.

She is survived by her children, Donna Davis-Linder (Reginald, Sr.), Jackey Hines Lewis (John, Jr.), East Dublin, Dwayne Hines (Sheila), Macon; her sisters, Lois (Eric) Stanley, Erma Coley; brothers, Joseph (Idella) Coley, Dublin, Bruce Davis, Rochester, New York; brother-in-law, Wanzy Axson, Dublin and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 983 Salter Square in East Dublin.
