Vernell Wilcher

Funeral services for Mrs. Vernell Wilcher, of East Dublin, will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018, at 11 AM at the Buckeye Baptist Church, 2176 New Buckeye Road in East Dublin, Georgia. The Reverend David G. Flowers will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Wilcher was born on April 19, 1931, in Wrightsville, Johnson County, Georgia. She was born to the late Willie James Miller and the late Katie Mae Wright. Mrs. Wilcher had sweet spirit and a beautiful smile that would light up any room. She had a special love for her family and friends. She just loved people. She was affectionately known as "Muh" to many. Mrs. Wilcher was a faithful member of the Mount Pleasant AME. Church until her health failed. She worked at Apparel Crafts for many years and later retired from the Biljo Pants Factory. Mrs. Wilcher loved cooking and visiting with her grandchildren. She also loved reading her Bible. She departed this life on Friday, November 30, 2018.

She leaves to cherish her memories her loving and devoted children, Willie Wilcher of East Dublin, Leon(Arnetta)Wilcher of Dublin, Carl Wilcher of East Dublin, Shirley Walters of Dublin, Melvin Wilcher of East Dublin, Linda Wilcher (Darrell) of Wrightsville, Gilbert (Wanda) Wilcher, and Connell Wilcher, all of Dublin. One brother, James (Carolyn) McMiller of Dublin, one sister, Gertrude Galloway of Newark, New Jersey, a brother-in-law, Roy (Arlean) Wilcher of Wrightsville, and two devoted cousins, Winnie Jackson, and Audrey "Pete" Wright, fifteen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, twenty-one great­great-grandchildren, four devoted friends, Willie Maude James, Cara Mae Wright, Willie Johnson, Annie Ruth Demmons, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
