Funeral services for Mrs. Velma T. Wright, of Atlanta, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at 3 PM in the C. D. Dudley Memorial Chapel at the Dudley Funeral Home in Dublin.

Mrs. Wright was born on September 8, 1953, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Hershel and Tressie Coley. She passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014.

Mrs. Wright is survived by sons, DeLance Wright, Sr., of Atlanta, and Derrick Duvol Wright of Dublin, her friend of thirty-four years, Kathy L. Herndon of Atlanta, a friend of the family, Patrice D. Morgan of Snellville, grandchildren, DeLance Wright, Jr., Arleathia M. Wright of Atlanta, Diamond De’Anna Wright of Houston, Texas, Jomeshirt Q. Slaughter of Dublin, great grandson, Melvin Jonathan Sheppard of Houston, Texas, sister, Annie Floyd of Dublin, brothers, Charles Coley of Dublin, Darryl Coley of Miami, Florida, brothers-in-law, Willie James Wright of East Dublin, Joe Nathan Wright of Savannah, brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Inez Coley of Conyers, sisters-in-law, Ola Mae Wright and Eula Mae Wright of East Dublin, and Mrylie Wright of Savannah, cousins, Juanita Coley of Dublin, James and Ruby Haynes of East Dublin, Lynn Valencia Coley of Miami, Florida, nephews, Edward Floyd, Langford Kendrick Floyd, Darryl Coley, and James McClinton, all of Dublin, Taiwan Coley of Marietta, Robert Coley, Jr., of Miami, and Ronnie Dudley of Dublin, nieces, Jacqueline McClinton , Dorothy Holcombe, Kwanna Floyd, Angela Floyd Linder and Vicki Coley of Dublin, and Ros Coley of Conyers, Barbara Hudson of Marietta, Delories Wright, Patricia Wright Coleman, Carol Wright and Deborah Wright, all of East Dublin, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at the home of her sister, Annie Floyd, 581 Vinson Village in Dublin.
