Ulysses Baker

Funeral services for Mr. Ulysses Baker of Dublin, will be on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Turkey Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 828 Scotland Road in Dublin. Reverend Dr. Frederick Williams will officiate. Interment will follow at Robinson Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Baker who passed on January 2, 2017, was born on July 29, 1951. He was born to Mr. Ulysses and Bernice Jaspar Baker in Washington, D.C. as a twin.

He was educated at Mary Fleming High School. After graduation he joined the Job Corp and after completing his duty, he started working at Southland Nursing Home. He stayed employed at this facility for thirty-five to forty years, where he was very dedicated, a hard worker and so kind to everyone.

Mr. Baker was very vocal and spirit filled in any church he attended which was many, including Church of Jesus.

Mr. Baker is survived by one son: Frederick Baker of Atlanta; two stepsons: Andre (Angie) Wright and Elmer Wright both of Dublin.

The family is receiving friends at 992 Pinehill Road in Dublin.
