Funeral services for Mr. Tommie Devero, of Wrightsville, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at 11 AM at the Zion Hope Baptist Church, 4507 Watermelon Road, in Tennille, Georgia. Reverend Grady Bell will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Tommie Devero was born on April 15, 1937, in Wrightsville to the late Jack and Laura Hodges Devero. He attended Tucker School in Wrightsville. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Bernay Devero, a sister, Annie Ruth Armstrong, a brother, Clemmie Devero, and a grandson, Travis T. Devero. He passed away on May 4, 2019.
Mr. Devero is survived by three daughters , Rachel (Archie) Moore of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Valarie Devero (Dexter) Lynn of Panama City, Florida, and Renata Devero of Talladega, Alabama, five sons, Tommie (Yaoska) Devero of Miami, Florida, Anthony (Yolanda) Devero of Alpine, Alabama, Tracy Devero of Illinois, Stacey Devero of Miami, Florida, Bobby (Mahalia) Devero of Wrightsville, two sisters, Dorothy Mae Gilmore of Wrightsville, and Florence Parks of Jacksonville, Florida, two brothers, Bishop Jimmy Devero of Lake Wells, Florida, and Robert (Evelyn) Braddy of Harrison, Georgia, a sister-in-law, Dorothy Devero, twenty-six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, and a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
