Funeral services for Elder Thomas Lee Wilson, Sr., 57, of Dublin, will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 11 AM at the Mt. Tilla Baptist Church, 2424 Hwy 441 North, Irwinton. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Reverend Kelvin Washington will officiate. Elder Wilson, who passed away on June 9, 2012 was born on September 7, 1954, in Dublin. He resided in Laurens County. Mr. Wilson was married to the former Beverly Ann Jones and this union bore two children, Thomas "Boom" Wilson, Jr. and Chanda Wilson Smith. Mr. Wilson was the son of the late, Holbert Lee Wilson, Sr. and Lillie Mae Wilson. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired after 21 years of service. He was employed at the Carl Vinson Veterans Administration Medical Center in Dublin and was a member of Millville Baptist Church. Mr. Wilson has presided for 11 years at Phillips Chapel Baptist Church in Soperton and for one year at Brown Grove Baptist Church in Lovett. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Beverly Ann Wilson, Dublin: his children, Thomas Lee Wilson, Jr. and Chanda Wilson (Kenneth) Smith of Auburn; his mother, Lillie Mae Wilson of Dublin. He is also survived by his sisters: Ruby Lee Hall of Dublin, Sara Wilson Roger of St. Francisville, Louisiana, Patricia Wilson Schmidt of Seattle Washington, Van Wilson of Savannah; his brothers, Holbert (Grace) Wilson, Jr. of Seattle, Washington, Andrew Wilson, Sr. of Dublin; his mother-in-law, Rosie Mae Jones of Montrose; his sisters-in-law, Betty Jean Pittman of Dublin and Angela Wright of Montrose; his brothers-in-law, Torrance Jones of Dublin and Michael Wright of Montrose. He also leaves to mourn his beautiful grandchildren: Christopher Hunt, Karinna Wilson Smith, Sarah Ann Bell Smith and Alexander Derrick and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
