Funeral services for Mr. Theron Wells, Jr., of Dublin, will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015, at 11 AM in the C.D. Dudley Memorial Chapel at the Dudley Funeral Home. Captain Nathan C. Dixon, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2617 Vinson Highway, Milledgeville.

Mr. Wells, who passed on May 24, 2015, was born on September 16, 1947, to the late Theron Leo Wells, Sr., and Evelyn Reid O. Reid Bailey in Dublin. He moved with his family to Miami, Florida, as a young boy and completed his education there in the public school system.

Sean Wells was his first born son by Sarah Gibson. He later married the late Willie Jean Bell and to that union a son, Theron, III, and daughter, Chonda were born.

He served his country faithfully in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. He later worked as a skycap and taxi cab driver.

Mr. Wells is survived by his devoted family and friends including two sons, Sean (Jean) Wells, Theron (Debbie) Wells, III; daughter, Chonda Williams, all of Florida; four brothers, Robert (Joyce) Wells, Florida, Larry Wells, Pennsylvania, Wayne (Connie) Wells, David Wells, Delaware; six sisters, Sandra "Dianne" (Leoanrd) Gilmore, Juanita Rolle, Georgia, Rosalee Wells, LaTonya Armstead-Turner, Pennsylvania, LaJuana Armstead-Green, New Jersey, Fatoshia Sands, Delaware; paternal uncle, Oscar D. (Retha) Wells, Lois (Nukie Lee) Boyer; a devoted friend, Alphonso Jackson, Miami, Florida; two grandsons, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at 2792 US Highway 80 West in Dublin.
