Mr. Theron Lee Bell of Fresno, California, former resident of Dublin, passed away on July 2, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 11 am at the Chapel of Jessie E. Cooley, Jr. Funeral Home, 1830 South Fruit Street, Fresno, California. Interment will follow in Belmont Memorial Park. Theron, the youngest child of Lessie and Alex Bell, was born on October 27, 1937 in Dublin. As a young man, he joined the United States Navy where he began his love for education in the fields of psychology and sociology. He was the school psychologist for the Fresno County Office of Education for twenty years. He had interests in golf, traveling, Volkswagen Bugs, jazz, and college football. Mr. Bell was actively involved in politcal and cultural events such as the Valley Democrats, NAACP, and the Black Pilots Association. Mr. Bell is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Bell, daughter, Nique De'Ann Bell, and his grandson, Marcus Terrell-Bell-Widermon, and a host of friends and extended family.
