Theotis Judon

Funeral services for Mr. Theotis Judon, Sr., will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at the Strawberry AME Church, 630 Country Club Road in Dublin. Reverend Jamie Pittman will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Judon, was born on August 29, 1950, to the late Hubie and Odessa Judon, as one of twelve children. He always took a very active role in raising his brothers and sisters. After the death of his parents, he was reared by Mrs. Anna McGirt. He graduated from Millville High School and attended Job Corps. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He married the love of his life and his high school sweetheart, Gloria Jean Judon. To this union of forty-three and one half years, two beautiful sons were born. Mr. Judon loved fishing and was a very hard worker who rarely missed work. After he left the Army, he moved to Ohio in 1973 and worked for the Melen Tool Company for twenty-five years. He was only a few months from retiring and moving back to be with his Georgia family when he passed away on February 15, 2017.

Mr. Judon, was preceded in death by his brothers, Noah Jean Judon and Julius Brown, his sisters, Elois Judon Coney and Barbara Jean Judon Whipple. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Gloria Jean Judon, sons, Darrell Judon and Theotis Judon, all of Lakewood, Ohio, sisters, Gussie O'Neal, Ideris (Yancey) Reynolds, of Dublin, Yvonne Butler of Cleveland, Ohio, Almarene Stanley, and Sandra (Gus) O'Neal, all of Dublin, brothers, Jimmy Brown of Dublin, Willie (Sylvia) Judon and John Judon, all of Dublin, a sister-in-law, Barbara Houston of Florida, brothers-in-law, Cecil (Ann) Brantley of South Carolina, and Huey Lee Brantley of Dublin, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Ideris (Yancey) Reynolds at 1327 O'Neal Drive in Dublin, and on Thursday at the Strawberry AME Church from 12 PM until the funeral hour.
