Funeral services for Mrs. Teresa Waters Payne of East Dublin will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at 12 PM at the Buckeye Baptist Church, 2176 New Buckeye Road in East Dublin. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Reverend David Flowers will officiate.

Mrs. Payne who passed on Friday, September 26, 2014, was born on April 29, 1939, to the late Lucille Waters and Issac Wright in Laurens County, Georgia.

She was a devoted certified nursing assistant at the Dublinair Health and Rehabilitation Center for twelve years. She also did private duty sitting for nearly forty years. On July 18, 1966, Mrs. Payne married Hardie Lee Payne who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Johnnie Mae Wright, Iris Tucker, Gladys Wright; brothers, William, Thomas, Norman, Eugene and Alton Michael Wright.

Mrs. Payne is survived by her devoted and loving son and daughter-in-law, Alphonza (Cynthia) Payne of East Dublin; two grandchildren,Garrison Payne of East Dublin, Courtney Payne of Kennesaw; two great grandchildren, Jeremia and Zacharias; sisters, Juanita Jones of Madison, Mary Waters of Dublin and Levera Waters Plummer of Dublin; brother, Issac Wright of South Carolina; brothers-in-law, William Wright, Robert (Juanita) Payne of Miami, Florida, JC (Cilla) Payne of Fort Pierce, Florida; sisters-in-law, Joanne Wright of Miami, Florida, Eloise Payne of Alabama and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at 1262 New Buckeye Road in East Dublin.
