Teena Marie Teska Perkins, 45, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012 at her home in Defuniak Springs, FL. She was born on July 10, 1967 in Norfolk, VA, the daughter of Lenhart Teska Sr. and Marie Teska. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Bratton Funeral Home in York, SC. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 – 11 AM at Bratton Funeral Home. Teena attended York Comprehensive High School. She enjoyed spending her summers traveling to Florida until she decided to make it her residence in 2002. In her spare time she also took joy in crafts, gardening, reading her bible and watching Monday night wrestling. Teena was a loving mother and grandmother. She had a big heart, generous thoughts and always put others needs before her own. Her door was always open to anyone in need of a place to stay and she treated them as her own family. She is survived by her mother, Marie Teska; biological children, Jeffery, Kristeena, and Rhavann Perkins; children by heart, Jacob Pope, Tyler Pope, and BreeAnna Teska; brothers, Dewey Perkins and Lenhart Teska, Jr.; sister Jennifer Teska; grandchildren, Kristian Shaw and Jayde Smith, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.
