Memorial Service for Ms. Syble Mae Scales of Dallas, Texas formerly of Clarksville, TX, who went to be with her Lord was Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Zion Traveler Baptist Church, 501 S. Walnut Street, Clarksville, TX with Pastor P.A. Porchia eulogist.

Cremation was under the direction of Citizens Funeral Home, 500 E. Church St. Clarksville, TX.

Syble Mae "Sister" Scales was born July 17, 1962. The daughter of Ophelia and James Smith in Clarksville, Texas.

The siblings that proceeded her in death are Terry and Roger Scales, Donald Edwards and Evelyn Nickerson.

Her surviving siblings are Steve Scales (San Diego, CA), Gerald and Willie Scales (Clarksville, TX), Rudy Scales, Karla Scales-McGhee and Marth Scales (Arlington, TX)

She attended Clarksville High School. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at Zion Traveler Baptist Church, then later join Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church (Dallas, TX).

Syble was a loving and elite mother. She had a genuine love for her grandkids, friends, and family. She was straightforward and cared for everyone and anyone in her path. She's always been a VERY hard worker and a graceful helping hand.

She passed on May 27, 2022 and left behind three children: Markest Smith (Selene Smith), Shenandoah Partain (Charles Partain), Shania Smith, a God Son Dwight "Smokey" Mayes, and 14 grandchildren
