Funeral services for Mrs. Susie Mae Carter aka "Polly Coney", of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at 11 AM at the Springhill Baptist Church, 494 Evergreen Road in Dublin. Reverend Winfred McCloud will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Carter was born on September 1, 1947 in Laurens County, Georgia to the union of the late Nathan and late Alberta Dupree Coney. Mrs. Carter retired from Engelhard. On January 12, 2018, Mrs. Susie Mae Carter departed this life. She was preceded in death by her four siblings, Francis Coney Walker, Freddie Coney, Dorothy Coney Brantley and Richard Coney.

She is survived by two sons, Jeffery Carter of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Frederick Carter, Atlanta; grandchildren, Christian Daijon Carter, Dublin, Nicole and Michelle Carter, South Carolina; siblings, Martha Coney (Sam) Samuel, Miami, Florida, Vinnie Mae Coney (John) Smith, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Mollie Coney Chung, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Eddie Hodges (Myra) Coney, Kendall, Florida, Sally Coney (Trevor) Rockhead, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; sister-in-law, Louise Coney, Eastman, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 604 Woodard Street in Dublin.
