Funeral services for Mr. Simon Andrew Pickett will be held on Friday, March 29, at 2:00 PM at the Saint Paul A.M.E. Church, 308 Rowe Street in Dublin. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery in Dublin. Pastor Dorothy Simmons will officiate.

Mr. Pickett, who passed on March 22, was born on June 4, 1994, to Simon Pickett and Sylvia A. Brown. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe Lewis Roberson, Sr., and Rudean Mosely Roberson.

At a young age, Mr. Pickett was introduced to Christ at Lovely Hill Baptist Church where he enjoyed many activities including the church choirs, community service, and had a passion for showing his love for the Lord through praise dancing. Simon was a graduate of East Laurens High School in the class of 2012 and attended Middle Georgia State College pursuing studies in Sports Medicine and Biology.

Mr. Pickett is survived by his mother, Sylvia A. (Mark) Brown; aunt, Annie Lois O'Neal; his daughter, Maliyah Syncere Pickett; sisters, Ca-Trina Renee Sowell, Ca-Tina La'faye Williams; brothers, Y'drate Lekeith Nelson, Darious Thomas and Donald L. Thomas; uncles, Joe Lewis Roberson, Jr., Carl A. (Hilda) Roberson, Keith L. (Tracey) Roberson; beloved cousins, and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at 497 Bridgemill Drive in East Dublin.
