Funeral services for Mrs. Shonta Lavay Wright, of Wrightsville, will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013, at 2:00 PM at the Buckeye Baptist Church at 2176 New Buckeye Road in East Dublin. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Joe Flowers will officiate.

Mrs. Wright departed this life on August 18. She was born August 2, 1973, in Johnson County to Brenda Wright (mother) of Wrightsville, and to McAuthor (Merita) Evans (father and stepmother) of East Dublin. She is also survived by a loving and devoted companion, Reggie Fordham; two children, Shannon Taylor, Jr. and Brandon Bigham of Wrightville; four brothers, Michael Wright of Wrightsville, Roderick (Doreatha) Evans of Stone Mountain, Kelvin Evans, Sr. of Pensacola, Florida, Joey (Sharon) Evans of East Dublin; five sisters, Lakesheia Wright of East Dublin, Carma Evans, Christon Evans, both of East Dublin, Neshika (Dexter) Devin of Augusta, and Lisha Whipple of Marietta, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at Lot 14 Folsom Drive in Wrightsville, and at 1512 New Buckeye Road in East Dublin.
