Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley "Shelly" Smith of Dublin, will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at 11 AM at the Unity Church of God in Christ at 1000 Martin Luther King, Jr., Drive in Dublin. Dr. K. J. McMiller will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith, who was born August 11, 1938, in Wilkinson County to the late Johnny and Clara Denson, departed this life on March 7, 2015.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Turner Smith; a son, Tommy L. Smith "Shorty" and five brothers and six sisters.

Mrs. Smith is survived by four daughters, Rosa L. Denson, Sherry M. Brown, Penny (Terry) Anderson, Sherville (Albert) Smith; three sons, Robert Smith, Henry Smith, Willie (Thelma) Smith, Atlanta; godson, Tony Watson; goddaughter, Keshia, nineteen grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren; four sisters, Carolyn (James) McMiller, Margaret (Luke) Smith, Daisey Watkins, Mary (Wesley) Prince, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Dudley Funeral Home on Wednesday, 6-7 PM.
