Funeral services for Ms. Shirley Ann "Sack" Slaughter, of Dublin, will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 2:30 PM at the Macedonia Baptist Church 4195 Highway 80 West in Montrose. Reverend James Brown will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Ms. Slaughter, who passed on April 30, 2016, was born on October 7, 1967. She was born in Laurens County to Emmanuel and the late Nancy L. Slaughter. She was educated in the Laurens County Public Schools. She was preceded in death by her mother, three brothers, Emmanuel Slaughter, Jr., Edward Slaughter and Robert Slaughter, by three sisters, Eddie Mae Beard, Lizzie Mae Young and Earnestine Slaughter and by one nephew, Darick Slaughter.

Ms. Slaughter is survived by her father, Emmanuel Slaughter, Sr. of Montrose; two daughters, Felicia Haynes and Sharonda (Drek) Galmore both of Dublin; two grandchildren, Aniyah Gilmore and Kiyla Mincey both of Dublin; a very devoted friend, Christopher Barkus, Dublin; three sisters, Rose M. Sanders and Arnetta (Willie) White both of Montrose, Brenda Burrell, Akron, Ohio; three brothers, Willie L. Slaughter, Montrose, Tommy L. (Blundalle) Slaughter, Dublin, Kevin Allen, Akron, Ohio; one aunt, Rosa Lee Burke, Macon, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at 1722 Spur 1 Montrose, and at 716-A Brantley Homes in Dublin.
