Funeral services for Mrs. Sheila "Puddin" Brown, of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 1 PM at the First African Baptist Church, 405 Telfair Street in Dublin. Pastor Clifford Hunter will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Sheila (Puddin) Hubbard Brown was born on December 19, 1953 to the late Joe and Lillie Mae Hubbard. She grew up in Dublin and attended Washington Street and Susie Dasher Elementary Schools, and Oconee High School. Her employment career began at Fairview Park Hospital. She also worked at Biljo’s, and she retired from Flexsteel, Inc., in late 2016. She was a member of the Howard Chapel African Methodist Church in Dublin. She departed this life on May 13, 2018.

Mrs. Hubbard met the man of her heart in 1973. She was the loving and devoted wife of J. W. Brown for forty years which they became one on November 1978. She is preceded in death by her sister Dorthy Hubbard, and three brothers, Joe Hubbard Jr. "Rufus", Charles Hubbard, and Billy Joe Hubbard.

Along with her husband she leaves her legacy with five daughters and one son, Sharon Hubbard, Milledgeville, Vivian (Lamar) Mitchell, Dublin, Tracey Wright, Macon, Sonja "Niecy" Brown, Warner Robins, Jonathan (Kim) Brown, Atlanta, Sheevonda Brown, Dublin, sister, Joyce Statham, Atlanta, brother, Edward Hubbard, Dublin, uncle, Johnny Dickie (Luretha) Hubbard, aunt, Eula Mae Hubbard, Dublin, her loving grandchildren, Carlos (Amanda) O’neal, Tony (Meco) O’Neal, Chantia Brown, Jessica Mitchell, Brian (Zack) Mitchell, Mesha Henderson, Porche’ (Bree) Thomas, Aayannah (Deztiny) Brown, Kamariya Brown, Zaniylah Brown, Jakai Woodford, Joshua Butts, and Laila Howard, six precious great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, family and friends.

The family is receiving friends at the family residence, 911 Stewart Avenue in Dublin, and at the Dudley Funeral Home on Friday, May 18, 6-7 PM.
