Shannon Marshik

Shannon Marshik, 52, of Champlin, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at her home with her children by her side. Her courageous fight with cancer is now followed by an opportunity to celebrate her beautiful life. Services will be held on Tuesday, October 17th at Resurrection Lutheran Church; 9925 Bailey Road in Woodbury, MN with a gathering at 5:30pm and service at 6:30pm; reception to follow. Interment will be private.

Shannon was born to Elizabeth and Russell Kessler on October 18th, 1964. She grew up with her sister, Victoria and her brother, Ross, in their family home near Woodbury, Minnesota. She was a daughter, a sister and later on, became a strong, kind-hearted mother to two children, Ashlee and Keaton.

Shannon was well known for her warm smile, creative mind, open heart and her ability to make her home a home to all who entered. We will remember Shannon by her unique gift to recognize and appreciate the talents in others and to make them feel loved and lifted by her presence. We will forever remember her by her gift to express gratitude in all circumstances, good or bad. Shannon could always find something to thank God for. Although these times are hard, we too, shall find reasons to be grateful every day as we move forward.

Shannon will continue to be our ray of sunshine. She brought us incredible joy and left us way too soon. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Russell as well as her brother, Ross. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Victoria and her children, Ashlee and Keaton. Memorials will be directed to the family of Shannon Marshik.

"If people we love are stolen from us, the only way to have them live on is to never stop loving them."
