Mr. Samuel Ringwood was born on July 21, 1950 in Dublin, Georgia to the late Reverend Homer Booker T. Ringwood, Sr., and Olivia Wright Ringwood. As a child, he loved the farm life, carpentry, and fishing with his dad and siblings. He was a member of the First African Baptist Church of Glenville, Georgia, under the leadership of the Reverend Junior. Samuel came from a family of singers and musicians. In his early twenties he became a member of the Mount Bethel Church in New Haven, Connecticut, where he was a member of the male choir, and became an usher at the Church of God and Phophetsy in New Haven, Connecticut. Music was always a part of his heart, and later he joined the Carrington Brothers, and the Allstar Corttee Group. He also was a regular fill in for groups such as the Harmony Kings, and various choirs and gospel groups through out his life.

Mr. Ringwood was a man who believed in hard work. He was employed for many years at the H. B. I. Manufacturing Company as a machine operator, and the Jessie Construction Company as a foreman. Upon returning to Dublin, his desire was to be closer to his family. He became a member of the William Grove Baptist Church, under the direction of Reverend Ernest Holmes. He later became a deacon. He wore many hats and used his "Hands" in being a humanitarian. If he could help you, he would. From yard work, to gardening, peas, collards, pecans, peanuts, and he is especially known for his sweet watermelons. He passed away on June 30, 2018. He was preceded in death by his beloved brothers, Jerry and Homer Ringwood, Jr., and his beloved sisters, Gloria Ann and Sallie Mae Ringwood.
