Funeral services for Mr. Samuel Hurst Gregory, 57, of 14 Helen Court, Wrightsville, will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 1 PM at the Saint James C. M. E. Church, 1608 Lovett Road, in Lovett. Reverend Ira Edwards Sr. will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Carter Cemetery on Carter Cemetery Road in Wrightsville. Mr. Samuel Hurst Gregory was born on February 8, 1955, to the late Mr. Elmo Gregory and the late Maudie Lue Hurst Gregory. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mr. Willie Cleveland Gregory and Herbert Gregory. Mr. Gregory went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 28, 2012. He was a member of the Saint James C. M. E. Church. He was employed with Twin Oaks of Dublin, and the Johnson County School System until his health declined. Mr. Gregory is survived by his wife, Mrs. Willene Gregory of Wrightsville; five brothers, James Elmer of Fort Pierce, FL, Walter (Tressie) Gregory, Johnny (Ethel) Gregory, Hayward (Calvary) Gregory, Jimmy Gregory of Wrightsville; six sisters-in-law, Willie J. Wright of Atlanta, Christine (Ernest) Butler, Darlend (Gerald) Weaver, Dorothy (Bruce) Wright, and Jeanie (Forest) Mitchell of Wrightsville, Pearl Cason of Kansas City, MI; one brother-in-law, William Shine of Wrightsville, and one long time friend, Ron Andrews, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
