Funeral services for Mr. Sammie Lee Coney, of Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2020, at 1 PM at the graveside in the Whites Chapel Cemetery, Honeysuckle Road in Dublin. Reverend Mario Webb, Sr. will deliver the eulogy.

Mr. Coney was born on August 2, 1937, in Dublin. He resided in the Glenwood Nursing Home for many years. While there, he was a diligent and faithful worker. He loved to cut grass and plant flowers. He also loved to sweep and mop floors. He was transferred to Southland Nursing Home in Dublin by his cousins, Mrs. Ora Mae Beard, Mrs. Vera Jackson and Mr. Ralph Daniel, Sr. who loved him like a son. He loved to eat and laugh about the good times he had with Ralph, Ora Mae and Vera.

He departed this life on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, after a long illness of dementia. He was preceded in death by his cousins, Mrs. Ora Mae Beard, Mrs. Vera Jackson, and Mr. Ralph Daniel, Sr..

Mr. Coney leaves to cherish his fond memories a cousin, Cathaleen Taylor.
