Roy Taylor
Funeral services for Mr. Roy Taylor, of East Dublin, will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at 12 PM at the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, 494 Evergreen Road, Dublin. Reverend Winfred L. McCloud will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Lovett Mission Cemetery.
Mr. Roy Taylor was born on January 16, 1946 in Dublin, Georgia, to the late Paul and Lottie Mae Taylor. He served in the United States Army for eight years in Vietnam. He was employed at Campbell's Fresh for over fifteen years, and at Mohawk Industries for fifteen years until the plant closed. Mr. Taylor, who passed away on July 18, 2018, was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Taylor, and by a sister, Effie Mae Watkins.
He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Annie Taylor, of East Dublin, a stepson, Jeffery Montgomery of Dublin, a stepdaughter, Paula Montgomery of Lyons, an adopted grandson, Tyler Montgomery, of East Dublin, a granddaughter that he raised as his own, Pamela (Ernest) Smith of Saint Mary, Florida, grandchildren, Brittany Williams, Adriana Williams, Siana Williams, all of Lyons, Brianna Smith of Saint Marys, Georgia, a brother, Johnny (Joyce) Taylor, of Atlanta, a sister, Rose Taylor of Decatur, brother-in-law, Horace Jenkins, Jr., of Rochester, New York, a sister-in-law, Glenda Jenkins of Dublin, and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family is receiving friends at 206 Felder Street, East Dublin.
