Funeral services for Mrs. Rosetta Worthen will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Stewart Chapel Baptist Church, 2659 Stewart Chapel Road in Cadwell. Interment will follow in church cemetery. Reverend Eugene Dawson will officiate.

Mrs. Worthen, who passed on September 24, was born November 23, 1926, to the late Mr. and Mrs. C.T. Chappell in Dublin. She graduated from the Laurens County School System. She later taught school in Wheeler County. She was united in holy matrimony to George Washington Worthen on September 8, 1946. She was a member of Stewart Chapel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Worthen is survived by her children, Carol A. Worthen-Wiliams, George A. Worthen and Paul J. Worthen; four grandsons, Rolmel, Gerard, Germain, Geoffery; two great granddaughters, Shylynn and Ava; two daughters-in-law, Patricia Perryman and Sandra Robinson; one brother, James Chappell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law.

The family will receive friends at 2777 Clarence Chappell Road in Dublin and at the church from 12 until 1pm on Thursday.
