Funeral services for Mrs. Rosetta Taylor Smith, 61, of Montrose, will be held on Friday, March 29, 2013, at 2 PM at The Church at Dudley, 3388 Highway 80 West in Dudley. Reverend Kenneth Price will officiate. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Church Cemetery in Montrose.

Mrs. Rosetta "PeeWee" Smith was born on December 29, 1951, as the daughter of the late Thomas Ira Taylor and Emma Blash Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary B. Hampton, Cleveland Blash, Sara Tillman and Ira Taylor.

Mrs. Smith attended Millville High School and was also a loyal employee of Walmart for over ten years until her health began to fail. She obtained her cerified nurses assistant license in Tampa, FL. She joined Union Grove at an early age. Her christian walk was renewed at The Church at Dudley under the leadership of Pastor Kenneth Price. She leaves a legacy of having a great sense of humor and a loving and caring heart that drew the attention of many people. In her presence, you would smile, and as you depart, you would be laughing.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Otis Smith Jr., three sons, Michael Jerome Smith, Darrick Ronyet Smith, and Ahmad Rashad Larry, all of Montrose, five grandchildren, Saquoya Larry of Dublin, O'Darien Smith and Dayana Smith of Cochran, Ahmadesia Brown of Dublin, and Kourtland Larry of Dublin, two sisters, Darsena Reynolds of Montrose, Mary Taylor of Columbia, SC, four brothers, Thomas Ira (Tina) Taylor, Jr., of Montrose, Marble (Diane) Taylor of Danville, Robbie Taylor of Harrisburg, VA., aunts, Katie Coley of Cochran, Maxine Smith of Tampa, FL, Daisy Blash of Waterbury, CT, Sally Blash of Montrose, Joann Orr of McIntyre, Elizabeth Adside of Gordon, Mona Hughes of Miami, FL, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 2331 Montose-Allentown Road, Montrose.
