Rosemary Isabelle Vital Cotton was born July 30, 1928 to Octave Vital and Loretta Cormier Vital in New Iberia, Louisiana, both of whom preceded her in death. She was the oldest of 11 children. James[D],Esther Lena, Loretta[D],Ona Lee[D], Leona,Leanna, Octave, Harry[D], Harriet and Frances[D] Rosemary was a longstanding member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She loved to sing and was an active member of the Instrument of Peace Choir. She was active in the community through volunteer service at the Heights Senior Center and in the senior living community at Villa of the Pines ,where she spent many of her happiest years. Rosemary was a very giving person who provided support and encouragement to family, friends and strangers. She loved to travel and was proud to have visited The Vatican for a mass with the Pope. She especially enjoyed traveling the country to spend time with her extensive family at the Jean Louis-Cormier Family Reunions. Rosemary had eight children, Martha Morgan (Deceased), Mary Brown, Neal Brown[Becky], Maggie Walton, Joel Cotton (Deceased), Jolie Hutchings (Deceased), Janet Dyer and Karen Cotton.She had a very special relationship with her two son-in laws Gregory Dyer and Jessie Hutchings. She has 25 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
