Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Zennie Cason Atkins, of Wrightsville, will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 11 AM at the Mitchell Grove Baptist Church, 78 Mitchell Grove Church Road in Wrightsville. Reverend Ricky Stanley will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Atkins, who passed on July 1, 2017, was born on April 1, 1923, in Wrightsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Huey Atkins; one daughter, Dorothy Atkins and two sons, Huey Atkins and Willie Atkins.

She was a member of Mitchell Grove Baptist Church where she served until her health declined.

Mrs. Atkins is survived by her daughters, Virginia (Waymon) Holder, Tricilla Fluker; son, M.H. Atkins; brother, Floyd Cason; sister-in-law, Nora Cason, ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 1138 Tucker Grove Church Road in Wrightsville.
