Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Lee Stuckey, of Montrose, will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the Eason Hill Baptist Church, 2022 Eason Hill Church Road in Montrose. Reverend Gregory Cutts will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Stuckey, who passed on June 7, 2016, was born on November 24, 1930, to the late Perry Smith and Angeline Vickers. She was one of eight siblings, Andrew Smith, Sarah Gardner, Bernice Dunn, Bessie (Sammy) Baugh, Annette Worthem, Annie Landers, and Ruther (Walter) Hubbard. She received her education in the Laurens County Schools all the way through the eleventh grade and was a very smart woman.

She was a member of Eason Hill Baptist Church where she was a faithful Usher, worked on the Food Committee, and was also the reporter for many years until her health failed.

Mrs. Stuckey was preceded in death by her husband, W. M. Stuckey; a son, Sidney Stuckey; a grandchild, Ida Stuckey; two daughters-in-law, Mary and Eloise Stuckey.

She is survived by her children, Shirley Rankin, Upper Darby, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Parker Lee Stuckey, Montrose, Holmes (Mary) Stuckey, Dudley, Wilmon (Earnestine) Stuckey, Dublin, Winnie (Gregory) Cutts, Dudley, Albert Stuckey, Dublin, Lucille (Anthony) Ashley, Cochran, W.C. Stuckey, Montrose; reared her oldest grandson, Parker (Charlene) Brimidge, Dudley, as her own; daughter-in-law, Marthella Stuckey, Dudley; friend and caregiver, Rose Mae Sanders, Montrose; twenty grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends at 2498 Georgia Highway 26 in Montrose, and at the Dudley Funeral Home on Friday, 7-8 pm.
