Funeral services for Mr. Ronald Wayne McRae of Dublin, will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2018, at 1 PM at the Sandy Ford Baptist Church, 2614 US Highway 80 West, Dublin. Reverend Torey Fountain will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Scotland Cemetery.

Mr. Ronald Wayne McRae was born in Dublin, Georgia on December 28, 1954, to the late Reverend Otis and Louise McRae. Ronald gave his life to Christ as a young man at Free Gift Baptist Church, where his father served as pastor for a number of years. He later connected with the Sandy Ford Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Darryl Moore. He attended Oconee High School, and proudly wore the blue and gold until he transferred to Dublin High School, where he excelled on the football field, and was proclaimed a standout. He spent more than forty years in the the military, and was an employee at the Carl Vinson Medical Center in Dublin. Ronald was also an entreprenuer , where he started a cleaning service, and was the proud owner of H & M Deliveries, which aided many local residents in getting the medications they needed in a timely manner. Ronald was an avid sports lover and enthusiast. He volunteered with the Dublin Recreation Department for many years, before he became the proud father of two dynamic football players, and served as an Instructional Football League Commissioner. He was also preceded in death his three sisters, Glenda Plummer, Martha Harvard, and Clara Mcrae, three brothers, Virgil Coates, Benjamin McRae, Louis McRae, and one nephew, Tara McRae. He passed away on October 19, 2018.

He is survived by a loving wife of twenty two years, Curretta Lowder McRae, one daughter, Jasmine McRae (Chancellor), of Atlanta, one step-daughter, Natoya Gabble of Dublin, two sons, Nicholas McRae of Atlanta, and Joshua McRae of Dublin, four sisters, Charlotte (Erving) Williams of Savannah, Willie Mae (Rufus, deceased),Cooper of Morrow, Georgia, Betty (Robert) Wells of Birmingham, Alabama, and Velma Vickers of Dublin, one brother, Otis (Mary) McRae of Morrow, Georgia, two brothers-in-laws, Keith Grace of Milledgeville, Georgia, and Shawn (Shon) Hurt of Maryland, mother-in-law, Flora Lowder of Dublin, two aunts, Lucille Higdon of Dublin, Elizabeth McRae of Deland, Florida, one grandson Chancellor Mack Jr., a special friend, Eddie Fuqua, two sisters-in-laws, Bessie Coates of Helena, Georgia, and Flo McRae of Minneapolis, Minnesota, a special friend and caregiver, George Richardson, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
