Robert E. Herold, of Redlands was born in Seattle,Washington on Oct 30,1931 to Robert And Thelma Herold. He passed away on September 27, 2013 in Calimesa, California.
Robert grew up in the Skagit in Washington where he attended a one room school, he moved to Seattle to attend West Seattle High School. After graduation he joined the Air Force and was an airplane mechanic in England. He married Mary Beath in Boise ,Idaho. Upon discharge he attended University of Washington and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. He was employed by Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, Aerospace as a Ballistic Missile Engineer in San Bernardino and TRW while living in Palos Verdes. He traveled the world visiting many countries with his top secret clearance and he also worked at the Pentagon. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed gardening, swimming,camping, golf and family get togethers. He truly enjoyed his friends. He was a great father who lead by example and passed this on to his entire family. He attended Centerpoint Church in Colton.
Robert will be forever missed by his loving devoted wife, Mary; his four Children: Carolynn Herold Crowe, a Realtor of Grand Terrace, Ca; David Herold (Lezile) a Redlands Ca.Business man; Marilyn Herold Amos (Michael) an executive assistant at Horizon Health in Texas; Dr. Edward Herold (Marija) an anesthesiologist at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz.,Ca. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren: Summer Martin, Thomas Crowe, Nicole Crowe, Olivia Herold, Stephanie Herold, Kelsey Herold, Avinash Robert Herold and Luka Herold; 3 great granddaughters Salina and Cali Garcia, Charlotte Crowe; His brother Jack Herold (Pat) and many nephews and nieces all living in Washington State.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2013 at Centerpoint Church in Colton, CA at 10:00 AM.
