Robert Joseph “Ernie” Brazee, 65, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018 at his home in Rock Hill.
A memorial service will be held at 5 PM on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Liberty Baptist Church, 410 Blessed Hope Road, York, SC, with Rev. Matt Burrell officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 – 5 PM at the church before the service.
Born December 20, 1952, Ernie was a son of Patricia Sorrell Brazee and the late Dighton Brazee II. Ernie attended school in Stockbridge, MA and moved to South Carolina in the early 80’s where he was the owner of Quality Transmissions in Rock Hill, until his health declined. He loved being outdoors, riding his Harley on the open road, and hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his daughter, Tonya Reynolds (Robby) of Pittsfield, MA, mother, Patricia Brazee of Dalton, MA, sister Diane Hatch (Richard) of Rock Hill, SC, his favorite niece Kayla Hatch of Rock Hill, SC, brothers, Gary Brazee, Sr. (Dianne) of Pittsfield, MA, Dighton Brazee III (Natalene) of Wyoming, Bruce Brazee (Ceila) of Kentucky, and Mark Brazee (Barbara) of Pittsfield, MA, and eight granddaughters. In addition to his father, Ernie was preceded in death by his daughter Tammy Willis, and three brothers, Patrick, David, and John Brazee.
