YORK – Robert “Bob” Eugene Kiser I, 83, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at his home in York.
The funeral will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Kings Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Preveaux and Rev. Eddie Usher officiating. Burial will follow at Kings Mountain Chapel UMC Cemetery with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 6 – 8 PM at Bratton Funeral Home.
Born July 6, 1933 in York County, Bob was a son of the late J. Frank Kiser and Leila Neelands Kiser. He was a loyal member of Kings Mountain Chapel UMC for 55 years. He was retired from Celanese after 36 years as an Instrumentation Mechanic, was a member of the Philanthropic Masonic Lodge #32, and a Hejaz Shriner.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Congetta Sutton Kiser, two daughters, Debbie Elliott (Doug) of York, Karen Carpenter (Keith) of Rock Hill, son Robert Eugene Kiser II of Raleigh, NC, 7 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
