Robert "Bob" Bundrick

Robert Lee Bundrick, 88, entered his eternal home November 22, 2016, surrounded by his family at home.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be at 12 noon on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Rev. Brad Vassey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 AM – 12 noon on Saturday at Hillcrest Baptist.
Robert was born in Chapin, SC to Lillie Mae and Jessie Oneil Bundrick on July 29, 1928. He retired from Harris Teeter after his service in the US Army. Robert received 2 purple hearts in the Korean War, while serving as a combat medic. He was the strongest of men, and a hero to many.
He is survived by his loving wife Dianne Bundrick of Hickory Grove, SC, brothers, Jimmy (Gail) and Cecil (Jeanette) Bundrick of Chapin, SC, sisters, Thelma Powell of Lexington, SC, Rachel (Gary) Wessinger of Irmo, SC, Dorothy Abrams Barber of Prosperity, SC, sons, Mike (Brenda) Carroll and Richard Carroll of Hickory Grove, SC, William (Lorelee) Bundrick of Palatka, FL, daughter, Melessa Hagy of Haysi, VA, grandchildren, Timothy and Alisa Bundrick of Palatka, FL, Mike Carroll of Hickory Grove, April (Robert) Schrein of Clover, SC, Holly Nickels of Haysi, VA, and 4 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his sister Mae Frick, brothers, Daniel and Russell Bundrick, and daughter Bobbie Jane Paredes.
