YORK -- Robbin Cooper Hughes, 94, a long-time resident of York, died Thursday, October 15, 2015, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church in York with Reverend John Muse officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Ladies Parlor.
Born in LaCenter, Kentucky, Robbin Hughes was a daughter of the late Birdie Webb and Richard Henry Cooper. She was the widow of William Max Hughes.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she was also active in the Friendly Circle. Mrs. Hughes was also a member of the Asbury Coward Literary Club and a former volunteer at the Museum of York County.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Holman (David) of York, and Nancy Cashio of New Orleans, LA, grandchildren, Scott Hughes (Rhonda), Kevin Hughes (Vickie), Deyna Rogers (Andrew), David Holman (Anne Wimberly), and Neal Holman (Jackie), and 6 great grandchildren, whom she adored. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hughes was preceded in death by her son Gary Hughes, one brother, and four sisters.
