Funeral services for Mr. Ricko Griffin will be held on Sunday, December 8, at 2 PM at the Holly Springs Baptist Church, 705 Buckeye Road in East Dublin. Interment will follow in the Springhill Church Cemetery at 494 Evergreen Road in Dublin. Pastor Elgin Dixon will officiate.

Ricko Griffin was born on January 20, 1981, to Eddie Griffin and Carolyn Griffin. He departed from labor to glory on Sunday, December 1, 2013.

A lifelong resident of Dublin, Ricko is a 2000 graduate of Dublin High School and attended Albany State University. Ricko accepted Christ at an early age, joining Holly Spring Baptist Church and later joined Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.

Precious memories of Ricko will live on and be celebrated by a son, DeEric Hester; a daughter, Rickaya Griffin, both of Dublin; parents: Carolyn Griffin and Eddie (Vickie) Griffin, all of Dublin; brothers: Eddie B. Griffin of Dublin and Jarvis Griffin of Warner Robins; sisters: Tomika (Josh) Carswell of East Dublin and Kenya Johnson of Florida: godparents: Reverend Elgin & Terri Dixon; god sister: Kristen Dixon and god Brother: Kameron Dixon, all of Dublin; maternal aunts: Latha (Roderick) Wrice of New Britain, Connecticut, Bernice (Carlton) Godfrey and Pearline (Richard) Stanley of Dublin, and Glenda O’Neal of New Britain, Connecticut.; maternal uncles: Willie O’Neal of Kansas, Frederick (Carolyn) O’Neal and Jeffery O’Neal of Dublin, Harry Todd of Atlanta, and Henry O’Neal of South Carolina; paternal aunt: Shirley (Harold) Smith of Dublin; paternal uncles: Ellis Charleston, Nathaniel (Jennary) Fordham and Nathaniel (Bridgett) Charleston of Dublin, and James (Bessie) Labor of Madison; and a devoted companion, LaKesha Chatman of Dublin; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 724 Clinton Branch Road in Dublin.
