Funeral services for Mr. Richard James Wells, of Dublin, will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018, at 2 PM at the Living Life Church, 600 West Moore Street. Reverend Ryan Wells will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Wells, affectionately known to family and friends as "Champ", was born on June 15, 1960, to the late Ned and Lillie Mae Wells. He was a member of the Class of 1978 at Dublin High School, and proudly served in the United States Army with honor and integrity for three years. After military service, he became an entrepreneur, who humbly served his clients for many years. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Rosa Wells. Mr. Wells passed away on April 28, 2018.

Mr. Wells leaves to cherish his memories his children, Jamie (Malcolm) Renfroe of Dublin, Maurice (Timmesha) Stephens of Macon, and Erica Stephens of Dublin, sisters, Zonie Jones, and Gloria Wells, of Dublin, brothers Bryson (Jackie) Wells of Augusta, Robert "Buster" Wells, Larry (Linda) Wells, and Willie Wells, of Dublin, David (Angie) Wells of Conyers, and Morris Wells of Dublin, his pride and joy, his grandchildren, Jawanye, Jayla, Jaden, Jordan, Mauria, Jameer, Mauria, Maurion, Jaylen, Maurielle, Maurlei, Maurquavious, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 102 Prince Street in Dublin.
