Richard Rozier

Funeral services for Mr. Richard Matthew Rozier, of will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at 11 AM at the Greater New Friendship Baptist Church, 3265 Georgia Highway 19 South, Dublin. Reverend Nathan Arnest will officiate. Interment will follow in the Hatoff Cemetery.

Mr. Rozier was born on March 1, 1937, to the late Matthew and Luvenia Snell Rozier. He joined the Mount McCrae Baptist Church at an early age, and was one of several deacons who were instrumental in combining Pearly Chapel and Mount McRae Churches into Greater New Friendship Baptist Church in 1999. He passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017. He was also preceded in death by his twin sons, sisters, Elouise Wilcher, Alnita Anderson, and by his brothers, Willie, Charles, Melvin, and Curtis Rozier.

Mr. Rozier was a member of Hatoff Lodge #409, Rising Sun Chapter #115, Order of the Eastern Star, Tri-County Royal Arch Chapter #8,, Elbert D. Blocker Consitory #368, and he was a veteran in the United States Army.

He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife of 54 years, Catherine Lee Rozier, daughters, Mary Sonya (Terry) Orange, Carla Orange, Jefferry (Ann) Rozier, Ronnie Rozier, Connie Rozier, Traci Knight, and Ricky (Nashura) Rozier, brothers, John Rozier, sisters, Ruby Johnson and Ina Cooper, brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny Anderson, Nina Rozier, Celestine Lee, Ruby (Horace) Johnson, Nathaniel Lee, Theotis Lee, Charlie Lee, Jr., Joe B. (Kim) Lee, Jewel Lee, Gussie Lee, one aunt, Rebecca Lee, sixteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 947 Saint Mark Road in Dublin.
